While this is an event in Holgate, this part of the Refuge is open to all from September 1 - March 30. For those with 4 wheel drive or who love really long walks, the Refuge is spectacularly beautiful with stunning views of Atlantic City from the southern tip.

The day begins at 8:30am. Gloves and buckets for the trash will be available. The Holgate Taxpayers Association is a sponsor of the event, along with Alliance for a Living Ocean, and will provide water, coffee and Bowkers crumb cake for the volunteers. Pick-up trucks with 4 wheel drive are needed to transport volunteers further out into the Refuge and to help cart the trash back to the dumpster. RSVP and register at: Joshua_Baker@fws.gov
