Something is new at St. Francis of Assisi Parish! We would like to start a group for widows and widowers beginning on Tuesday. February 21, 2023 at 5:30pm. It will be held in the St. Francis Aquatic Center’s Pool Party Room. Please bring a dinner or sandwich and drink with you for this first meeting.

Many of our widows and widowers have expressed how lonely dinnertime can be when you are eating alone or with your TV set. This will be a chance to mix with others and share our feelings and stories [if you’d care to] with others who have been widowed.

At this first meeting, we will discuss how often we would like to hold our meetings, other options for eating [bringing a covered dish] and anything else that would be comfortable and enjoyable for us. We hope you will join us. As the saying goes, “this could be just what the doctor ordered!” If you aren’t able to attend this first meeting, check the bulletin or web site for our next gathering!
