Daily Reflection: Tuesday, March 15

Tuesday, March 15, 2022 – Second Week of Lent

Today’s Gospel Acclamation is from Ezekiel 18:31. “Cast away from you all the crimes you have committed, says the Lord, and make for yourselves a new heart and new spirit.” This sums up one of the goals of Lent. That we will cooperate with the Holy Spirit to create a new heart and new spirit. We know that we have a new heart and spirit if we become humble. As Jesus tells us in today’s gospel from Matthew: “The greatest among you must be your servant. Whoever exalts himself will be humbled; but whoever humbles himself will be exalted.”
