Daily Reflection: Thursday, August 31

Thursday, August 31, 2023 – 21st Week in Ordinary Time https://bible.usccb.org/bible/readings/thursday-twenty-first-week-ordinary-time

Stay awake! Be prepared! These can be seen as order from an army commander. However, we are not in a spiritual warfare. What Matthew is reminding us in this gospel reading, just because God return is delayed does not mean that we go back to old ways. That we can play and adjust our life when he comes back. I have seen a bumper sticker: Look Busy Jesus Coming. We should not live our life like that. We should be doing what Jesus taught us to do. To love, not to be look busy.
