Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world. (Jn1:29)

It is an awesome moment when the host is held up before communion and the announcement of John the Baptist is repeated: Behold…. In the gospel, it seems like John was busy baptizing and suddenly he recognized the Lord. We are offered that same awesome moment of recognizing the Lamb. Then we approach the Lord with joy.
