Friday of the Twentieth Week in Ordinary Time
…with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind…. (Mt 22:37)
With all you’ve got, with all you are. Hold nothing back. I remember the total effort of rowing crew as a young man. That was pure physical effort. In addition to brute mussel, heart, soul, and mind were essential. Sometimes, it hurt like hell, but it was joyful. Loving God with our whole self is on another plane. Crew took commitment. Loving God takes FAITH and commitment. Our whole self. Joy.
