Today’s Gospel from Luke has Jesus choosing the 12 apostles. What a crew! Yet, Jesus believes he can work with them. Did you ever notice how often Jesus and his followers are healing diseases or taking care of those with “unclean” spirits. This was one of the focal points of his ministry and there seems to be many people with these afflictions who approached Jesus and the apostles. Isn’t this true for our day and age too?
