Daily Reflection: Saturday, December 16

Saturday December 16, 2023

“. . .give us new life, and we will call upon your name.” Psalm 80:18

This line from today’s Responsorial Psalm cries out for new life and promises how we will respond. When we are blessed with life that revives us, do we remember to “call upon God’s name”? Calling upon the name of God is a form of praise, not necessarily a request for assistance. God gives us life all of the time, giving us the ability to breathe and to grow. So let us call upon God’s name in praise for this gift.
