Daily Reflection: Tuesday, December 19

Tuesday, December 19, 2023 – 3rd Week of Advent

Today we have the story of the birth of John the Baptist from the Gospel of Luke. His birth was announced by the Angel Gabriel, just has his cousin’s birth was announced by him. As we know John had a special mission of preparing the way for the coming of the Messiah, and his earthly mission of bringing God’s love to all. We are not call to prepare the way because Jesus already has come. We have the mission of announcing just like Gabriel and John, however, our announcement is to remind people of the love of God present here today.
