Today’s Psalm Response comes from Psalm 33, which is entitled Praise of the Lord’s Power and Providence. The footnote from the New American Bible states: “psalm 33 is a hymn in which the just are invited to praise God, by a mere word created the three-tiered universe of the heavens, the cosmic water, and the earth… The greatness of human beings consists in God’s choosing them as a special people and their faithful response”. Reflect on how each one of us are chosen and special in the sight of God and then say a prayer of thanksgiving.
