Daily Reflection: Saturday, November 20
Saturday, November 20
Today’s Gospel is very strange for us. Moses is quoted for the case of a man dying leaving a wife and no children and the custom was for the brother then to take over. It seems that in this case, there were seven brothers and still no children. The Sadducees are testing Jesus. What this says to me after listening to Jesus is: God takes care of many things in the next life and does this probably even in ways unexpected. Sometimes we think we know what life after this life will be, but I believe the Scripture that says: “Eye has not seen and ear has not heard what God has ready for those who love Him.”
