Daily Reflection: Wednesday, March 29

March 29  Wednesday of the Fifth Week in Lent

If you remain in my word, you will truly be my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.  (Jn 8:31)

Jesus is our truth.

One of the great things of genuine friendship is that it is not pretentious.  Real friends don’t have to pretend to be anything other than what they are.  There is mutual acceptance without wanting to recreate the other.  It is very liberating. It affirms our goodness.

In his word, we are friends of Jesus.  He is our truth.  He sets his friends free to be alive in his love.
