Daily Reflection: Wednesday, April 5

Wednesday April 5, 2023

“They paid him thirty pieces of silver.” Mt 26:14

I think we may find it difficult to image Judas, who had journeyed with Jesus, betraying him for money! Yet Judas’ rejection of Jesus may have had less to do with the silver than with his own inability to be open to the love and compassion of Jesus. We all have blind spots at times with our own lovableness, especially when we try to image God ‘s unconditional love for us. During the next few days we will be focusing on how much God loves us as we follow the passion journey of Jesus. Allow that love to wash over you so you may become a fountain of God’s love for others.
