Daily Reflection: Wednesday, October 18

Wednesday October 18

“Go on your way; behold I am sending you like lambs among wolves.” Luke 10:3

Jesus sent out the seventy-two disciples to prepare the way in every place he was planning to visit. We also are sent out as laborers in the harvest. We are to be lambs, carrying the message of Jesus into a world full of wolves! We are called to imitate the way that Jesus lived, a way of compassion, mercy, and forgiveness in a world where these qualities can be hard to find. Let not the wolves influence us so that we become like them, but stay focused on the way of Jesus.
