Daily Reflection: Thursday, September 30

Thursday, September 30

Saints of God, the Lord be with you.  Today’s Responsorial Psalm [19] says, “The fear of the Lord is pure, enduring forever”. To me this is evidence that the word translated as Fear is best understood as Awe. After death, when we stand in the presence of the Lord, who is unconditional love, what do we have to be afraid of? Seems to me that we will be forever in awe that God unconditionally loves us.
