Daily Reflection: Monday, August 8

Monday, August 8

This is the Feast Day of St. Dominic, the founder of the Dominican Friars, the Order of Preachers. He lived during the same time period as St. Francis and tradition says that they met. St. Dominic is also associated with the origin and creation of the Rosary. His values are reflected in his saying: “Arm yourself with prayer rather than a sword; wear humility rather than fine clothes.” Pray some of the Rosary today slowly and prayerfully.

Fr. Andrew
