Wednesday of the First Week in Ordinary Time
The Lord came and revealed his presence….
Samuel answered, “Speak, for your servant is listening.” (1Sam 1:10-11)
Of course, Samuel is not ordering God to speak; he is responding to God calling him. He becomes a servant, doing whatever God requires. Samuel’s readiness inspires us to imitate him.
