Daily Reflection: Wednesday, October 5

Wednesday, October 5

Since we are celebrating St. Francis’ Feastday this week, here is another prayer of St. Francis’, his Prayer before the Crucifix: “Most High, glorious God, enlighten the darkness of my heart, and give me, Lord, a correct faith, a certain hope, a perfect charity, sense and knowledge, so that I may carry out your holy and true command.” This prayer comes from his early life in 1204 when he was trying to figure out what God wanted him to do.
