Daily Reflection: Monday, November 28

Monday, November 28

Today is the first weekday of Advent and we heard in yesterday’s Gospel: “…you also must be prepared, for at an hour you least expect, the Son of Man will come.” When this was written, the people believed that Jesus was coming back very soon and even though it did not turn out that way, we still need to be prepared. We must also remember that Jesus comes to us every day: in the Scriptures, in the sacraments, at prayer and in one another. Let us remember this and welcome Jesus daily. Come, Lord Jesus!
