Reflection on the Season of Creation by  Jean Roberts

As we approach the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, it is with thankfulness and

praise to God for the world and the abundance of gifts we have received from His creation.  As Francis respected creation we look to each and every day to do the same.  We can see and admire grass, trees, and flowers. With the food produced from plants we can nourish our bodies.

We can be grateful for birds in the air and live creatures of the sea.  All the pets we cherish and other animals of the earth require our care.

God created you and me to enjoy, to be in charge of, and to respect creation, His gifts to us.  There is always hope in each new day in which God's love for us turns darkness to light as we share this love with one another.
