Memorial of Saint Scholastica, Virgin

Where can anyone get enough bread to satisfy them here in this deserted place?  (Mk 8:4)

Without a miracle, it would be impossible to feed thousands with seven loaves of bread and a few fish.  This story is based on the disciples’ assumption that there is not enough.  

Jesus did not share that assumption.  When we buy into it, we make decisions that cut people off from the good (or goods) that they need.  Should we work together to assure that the needs of all are met?
