Daily Reflection: Friday, February 16

Friday February 16

This is the fasting that God wishes, releasing those bound unjustly, untying the thongs of the yoke, setting free the oppressed and the homeless, sharing bread with the hungry, sheltering, clothing, not turning your back on your own…” There are many ways for us to release the bonds of others - we do not have to look far to see the oppressed. When we strive to undo chains that bind, the light will break forth, and God’s glory will shine. Let us this day do one act that helps another be free.
