Daily Reflection: Saturday, February 17
Saturday February 17
Today’s reading from Isaiah continues to call us to conversion – to let go of our own ways, seek our own interests, or speak with malice. And promises us that we shall then delight in the Lord! Lent invites us to stop and reflect on our actions and words. At times we may not even realize how we buy into the mentality of abusive language when we speak of those with whom we disagree. We have dreadful examples in our political system and we are called to counter this practice in our own conversations. May our words reflect the love God has for us and for all people!
