Daily Reflection: Thursday, February 29

Thursday, February 29

It’s leap year and here we are at February 29th! The Prophet Jeremiah says: “Blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord.” He described earlier the one “…whose heart turns away from the Lord.” This person is like a “barren bush in the desert…(one who) stands in a lava waste…” During this Lenten season we are trying to learn how to trust even more deeply in the Lord. Finding quiet time each day to listen can be a positive way to allow our trust in the Lord to become more real. It is not easy to find that quiet time, but begin with a short period and lengthen it each day. “Blessed are they who hope in the Lord.”

Fr. Andrew
