Thursday March 14

Today’s Gospel spells out for us the intimate relationship between God the Father and Jesus. We are told that we know the Father through Jesus, his words and his works. Jesus is the Word of God, who does only the works of the Father. It is Jesus who leads us to the Father – it is Jesus who teaches us the compassion and mercy of the Father. It is in Jesus that our loving, creating God became a part of our humanity. What a gift we have in Jesus!
