Daily Reflection: Friday, March 15

Friday March 15

The Book of Wisdom today tells us of the thoughts of the wicked – “let us beset the just one because he is obnoxious to us, he sets himself against our doings. To us he is the censure of our thoughts. . .his life is not like that of others, different are his ways.” The wicked ones wanted to get rid of the just one because he was different from them. It did not matter who was better, just that his way challenged theirs. We may not be considered wicked, but we can judge others whose ways are not ours to be unworthy of respect. We are invited to be open to the goodness in others, especially when they challenge our own way of being.
