One of themes of our readings is Mercy. We have been taught at a young age is how merciful our God is with us. What is this, Mercy? Mercy is a part of forgiveness and compassion. Our response to today’s psalm is “Remember your mercies, O Lord”. God does not need to be reminded when we need God’s mercy. No, we need to be remined that God is always merciful. We need also to be retold that we need to show mercy to one another.
