Today’s first reading focuses on the statutes and decrees that was given to Moses from God. These laws were designed to help us to live in God’s love and share that love with one another. Due to our human nature, we made following these statues and decrees into be more important then being loving. In our gospel reading Jesus stated: “Do not think that I have come not to abolish the law or the prophets…but to fulfill. Today, ask the Holy Spirit to show us how we are to live out God’s statues and decrees with love.
