Daily Reflection: Thursday, June 10

Thursday, June 10

Saints of God, the Lord be with you!  In today’s Gospel according to Matthew ( 5:20-26) Jesus challenges us to look not only at our sinful behavior but to identify those attitudes and words that might be called the “womb of sin.”  Once identified we are called to change them. This is a daunting task and one that is never completed. Yet the first reading from the second Letter of St. Paul to the Corinthians (3: 15-4: 1, 3-6) reminds us that we are not to become discouraged for we are being transformed into the glory of God which is Christ.
