 Jesus in the Matthew’s Gospel tell us “Do not think I have come to bring peace upon the earth. I have come to bring not peace but the sword.” We might be shocked at this statement.  Jesus is not saying that we should bear swords. Jesus is telling us that because of our free will, some will reject God’s message of love, and become violent and reject those who want peace.  Today pray that we may reply in peace and mercy towards those who reject God’s love.
