Daily Reflection: Monday, July 19

Monday, July 19

In today’s Gospel from Matthew, the scribes and pharisees say to Jesus: “We wish to see a sign from you.” They had seen Jesus “in action” when the sick were made well, sinners welcomed, the blind cured and the lame able to walk. What more could they want? We recognize that they were “blind.” This is a good reminder that many times we may be “blind” to God’s presence. Miracles come in different sizes and shapes. I bet you will “see” some today.
