Daily Reflection: Friday, August 20

Friday, August20

Today is the memorial of St. Bernard of Clairvaux. He was a monk who had a great deal of influence in the spirituality of his times. He once wrote: “What we love, we shall grow to resemble.”  How coincidental that today’s Gospel speaks about the great Commandment: to love God and love neighbor. This is what we are about everyday in our contact with others, some easy to love and others a challenge. Putting God first in our lives helps us do all things.

Fr. Andrew
