Jesus says in the Parable of the generous landowner: “Are you envious because I am generous?” At first reading this Parable might seem that what the landowner did was unfair. Actually, he follows through on what he promised each group. Generosity is the key to this passage. All of us believe in being generous and try our best, but sometimes we need a little push to go the “extra mile.”
