Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul

I will give you the keys to the Kingdom of heaven.  (Mt 16:19)

I am ripping these words out of context.  I will give you the keys….  Hasn’t the Lord given us all the keys?  Not in the sense of binding and loosing, but in opening the door to heaven, to eternal life with God.  Jesus revealed a way of life for his disciples that leads to joy unending.  The keys are that way of life.
