Our psalm and our gospel reading are song of praise to God for the blessing of a child. Our psalm is taken from the First Book of Samuel. It is a song attributed to Samuel’s mother Hannah, as a song of thanksgiving to God because she has borne a son despite her previous sterility. Our gospel reading known as the Magnificat, the Canticle of Mary. Throughout the canticle Mary sings the praise of God. Today create your own prayer of praise and thanksgiving to God.
