Daily Reflection: Monday, December 26
Monday, December 26
I hope you had a memorable Christmas Eve and Christmas day. Remember – the Christmas season continues until the Baptism of the Lord in January. Today is a sharp contrast to yesterday with the martyrdom of St. Stephen. The Scriptures say: “(he) was working great wonders and signs among the people.” Many of those hearing him would not accept what he was saying and they “threw him out of the city and began to stone him.” His life ended as he was saying: “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.” Ask the Lord that you might be that strong during trying times.
