Daily Reflection: Tuesday, December 27

Tuesday, December 27

This is the Feast of St. John, the evangelist. It is said that he was young when he started following Jesus, so he had many years of experience with Jesus before Jesus was crucified. His writings show his firm belief in Jesus as “the way, the truth and the life.” Having experienced the horrible death of Jesus, he was one of the first to hear Mary Magdalene say that Jesus was not in the tomb. Those first followers went to the tomb and “saw and believed.” Seeing can, indeed, help us believe.
