Daily Reflection: Thursday, December 29

Thursday, December 29

The famous St. Thomas Becket’s feast day is today. He was archbishop of Canterbury Cathedral.  When he opposed King Henry II’s decision to take away certain rights of the church, the king had him murdered in Thomas’ cathedral. This week on the church’s calendar we have several people who gave them lives rather than back down on their commitment to Christ and the church. Keep us strong in our faith, Lord, in good times and in trying times.

Fr. Andrew
