January 5  The Memorial of St. John Neumann, Bishop

Follow me.  (Jn 1:43)

None of us will have the opportunity to tramp around Biblical Palestine with Jesus, so his call means something deeper and unique to each one of us.  We wonder the cost.  How far does he expect us to go?   If the call makes us afraid, we remember that he is with us, closer to us than we are ourselves.  He will not leave us alone on the trail.

 John Frambes, ofm
