In today's gospel reading from Mark, we hear Jesus say to the Pharisees, “The sabbath was made for men, not man for the sabbath”. That is why the Son of Man is Lord even the sabbath.” We need rules and regulations to help us guide our actions to live as faithful children of God. However, sometimes we make these regulations into our god, forgetting the purpose of the law is to help us to be more loving towards one another. When we get distorted view of the law, we can become more hurtful then loving.  Today, pray to the Holy Spirit to helping each one of us have the right relationship and understanding of God's laws.
