Today’s responsorial psalm comes from Psalm 40. The New American Bible entitles this psalm as Gratitude and Prayer for Help. We read, “Sacrifice or oblation you wished not…” God does not want a thanksgiving of animal sacrifice but an open enthusiastic proclamation of our experience of God’s love. Today, slowly and prayer read this psalm three (3) times and choose a word or phrase to carry with you for the rest of the day.
