Daily Reflection: Friday, January 20

Friday, January 20, 2023 – Second Week in Ordinary Time

In the first reading from the Letter to the Hebrews, St Paul continues to write about how Jesus is our high priest. Quoting from the prophet Jeremiah we read, “I will be their God, and they shall be my people…For I will forgive their evildoing and remember their sins no more.” We have a compassionate and merciful God, who wants the best for us. Do you believe that God remember our sins no more? If so, why do we hold on to the guilt and shame of our past actions?
