“And God saw how good it was.” God spoke the word that brought all things into being, perhaps not in the exact way that Genesis portrays, but create God did! And God continues to create, for nothing would remain in existence without God’s love. The light, the sky, the earth, the sea, the plants, the animals, the sun and moon – God said that all of it was good. We are invited to participate in God’s creative action by reverencing the earth and seeing that it is good and worthy of our care.
