Daily Scripture Reflection - Tuesday of Holy Week

“And I am made glorious in the sight of the Lord, and my God is now my strength!” This line comes from our reading from the Prophet Isaiah. This is taken from another of the Servant of the Lord songs. In this song, God is praised for making the servant ready and fit for the preaching of God’s word.

In the Gospel of John, we read how Jesus predicted Peter’s denial of not knowing him. “Amen, amen, I say to you, the cock will not crow before you deny me tree times.”

Reflect on: Is God my strength? If so, do I like Peter deny God when placed in a difficult situation in public?
