Daily Reflection: Wednesday, August 28

Today we celebrate the feast of St. Augustine, Bishop and Martyr. His quote “You have made us for yourself and our hearts are restless until they rest in you” tells us of the intimate connection we have with God. It took Augustine years to come to this understanding as it may take us time to realize how much we are loved by God and how much our own yearnings are really for God and nothing else. May God open our hearts that we may know the depths of God’s abundant love
