Daily Reflection: Monday, September 30

Today, we can say “thank you” to St. Jerome. Why? He translated the Greek Bible into Latin so that people could read it and make it a part of their lives. This was a great undertaking at that time. One of the books that he translated was the Book of Job and we hear a section of this book at Mass today. Job had many negative things happen in his life, one right after another. Reading the passage for today, you wonder how this will turn out. There is something positive at the end…but it takes time.
