Daily Reflection: Saturday September 28

“In every age O Lord, you have been our refuge.” This response to today’s Responsorial Psalm comforts us with the presence of God through the ages. God is our refuge, our safety, our comfort and our care.   God alone is the one who saves. God saves us from ourselves, our sinful tendencies, our self-centeredness. Through the life death and resurrection of Jesus, through the action of God’s Spirit of love, we are drawn up into the life of God who became one with us and remains in our midst for all time.  We follow this Psalm with a joyful Alleluia, praising our Savior Christ Jesus who brought life to light through the Gospel.
