Daily Reflection: Tuesday, May 16

Tuesday, May 16

Today’s First Reading from Acts of the Apostles tells of the mistreatment that Paul and Silas received and how they were beaten and put into prison. An earthquake happened and the chains were pulled loose and jail doors opened. The jailer feared for his life, but after Paul reassured them that they were still there, the jailer and his family were soon baptized. This is a remarkable account of the fact that Paul’s preaching couldn’t be stopped by anything. Would you be that strong in these circumstances?
