Daily Reflection: Wednesday, May 17

Wednesday, May 17

St. Paul certainly did much traveling preaching and teaching about Jesus- I hope he got frequent traveler miles. In today’s reading he is in Athens and he comments that he has noticed that they have an altar “To an Unknown God.” This gives him the opportunity for him to tell the Athenians about “the God who made the world and all that is in it.” He makes a simple, yet profound statement for the people to believe when he says “in him we live and move and have our being.” After Athens, he is off to the challenges of Corinth.
