Friday, Memorial of St. Philip Neri, Priest

[Jesus said this to Simon Peter] signifying by what kind of death he would glorify God.  And when he had said this, he said to him, “Follow me.”   (Jn 21:19)

Peter knew how he would die.  As time passes, I sometimes wonder what my death will be like, but the real question is not that, only whether I will glorify God.  If I am faithful in following Jesus, I hope I will.
